An introductory statement of Faith*:
There is but one only living and true God - He is a Spririt, infinite, eternal, and unchangeable, found in three persons of the Godhead; the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.
The word of God, contained in the scriptures of the Old and New Testaments, is the only rule to direct us in how we may glorify Him, what man is to believe concerning Him, and what duty God requires of man.
Our first parents, Adam and Eve, having been left to the freedom of their own will, sinned against God, and thus brought mankind into a state of sin and misery.
The only Redeemer of God's elect is the Lord Jesus Christ, who, being the eternal Son of God, became man, was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit in the womb of a virgin, lived the perfect life, fullfilled all the requirements of God's law, died on a cross, and rose bodily from the grave on the third day. (*much thanks to the "The Shorter Catechism" approved by the Assembly at Edinburgh, July 28, 1648.)
